Nature Morte

This series intends to be humorous, while at the same commenting on darker issues concerning the effects of human activity upon the natural environment. The obvious artifice of the compositions pokes fun at our attempt to preserve and recreate the very nature we continue to destroy.

Hybrid Creatures

This series began first semester and grew to include a whole menagerie of fantastical beasts. These images consist entirely of my own photos, digitally combined and manipulated to mimic natural history illustrations.

This fish series was created second semester, and focuses specifically on the impact of pollution and over-fishing on the health of our oceans. It imagines a future with highly-evolved species that have adapted to environmental changes in order to survive.
